Peer Review Process

Jurnal PTIPD: Penelitian Terapan Informatika dan Pengembangan Data implements a rigorous and objective peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of every published article.

Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

1. Initial Screening by the Editor
Submitted manuscripts are first screened by the editorial team to ensure that they are relevant to the journal’s focus and scope and comply with the journal’s author guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these initial criteria will be returned to the authors without proceeding to the review process.

2. Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to two reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject area of the manuscript. The review process follows a double-blind peer review system, in which the identities of both the authors and reviewers are kept confidential from each other to maintain objectivity and prevent conflicts of interest.

3. Review Results and Recommendations
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, scientific contribution, topic relevance, methodology, and the completeness and quality of references. Based on the review results, a manuscript may receive one of the following decisions:

  • Accepted without revision
  • Accepted with minor revisions
  • Accepted with major revisions
  • Rejected

4. Revision by the Authors
Authors are given the opportunity to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and recommendations. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the specified timeframe, accompanied by a response to reviewers explaining how each comment or recommendation has been addressed.

5. Final Decision
Once the revised manuscript has been submitted, the editor conducts a final evaluation to determine whether the manuscript is suitable for publication. The editor’s decision is final.

6. Publication
Articles that have been accepted for publication will be scheduled for publication in an issue of the journal according to the journal’s publication schedule.
