Floods that occurred in Gampong Tanjung Punti at the end of 2025 were associated with changes in the psychosocial conditions of children as a vulnerable group. Initial observations revealed that some children appeared anxious, less socially interactive, and still displayed fear-related expressions when recalling the flood event. This situation served as the basis for implementing a community service program integrating trauma healing, basic needs fulfillment, and spiritual support. The program aimed to support psychosocial assistance for flood-affected children through a participatory and child-friendly approach involving 35 children aged 5–12 years, village officials, and local community members. Activities included the distribution of basic supplies and clothing, provision of Qur’an copies, and trauma healing sessions through educational games, drawing, storytelling, and simple relaxation exercises. The results of the activities indicated increased children’s participation, improved emotional expression, and a growing sense of safety during the sessions. In addition, basic needs support and spiritual assistance were perceived to help reduce community burdens in the early post-disaster phase. The holistic approach integrating psychosocial support, basic needs fulfillment, and spiritual dimensions indicates potential support for early recovery processes among flood-affected children and communities.
Arief RahmanMainisa MainisaMuhammad HattaIrma YurniEkamaida EkamaidaGhazali Syamni

Nutritional problems among children under five remain a major public health concern in Indonesia, as indicated by the high prevalence of stunting, wasting, underweight, and overweight. Appropriate complementary feeding (Makanan Pendamping Air Susu Ibu/MP-ASI) during the first 1,000 days of life is an essential strategy to prevent malnutrition. However, inadequate maternal nutrition literacy often contributes to inappropriate complementary feeding practices. This community service program aimed to improve the nutrition literacy of pregnant women and mothers of children under five regarding appropriate MP-ASI practices through leaflet-based nutrition education. The program was conducted in January 2026 at Damping Village Hall, Serang Regency, Banten Province, involving 25 participants. Educational activities consisted of lectures and interactive discussions supported by leaflets. Participants' nutrition literacy was assessed using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The evaluation showed that 19 participants (76%) demonstrated improved nutrition literacy following the intervention. These findings indicate that leaflet-based nutrition education indicate an improvement participants' understanding of appropriate complementary feeding practices. Continuous implementation of similar educational programs is expected to improve maternal nutrition literacy, promote appropriate complementary feeding practices, and contribute to optimal child growth and the prevention of malnutrition among children under five.
Nisri Ina ZahrahQonita QonitaYania FebsiRiki Ukhtul FitriAde Komariah

Awareness of citizens' rights, obligations, and opportunities for participation is an important foundation for meaningful involvement in village governance. This community service activity aimed to strengthen civic understanding among participants in Kasomalang Wetan Village, Subang Regency, through a contextual and participatory civic education approach. The activity was held at the Kasomalang Wetan Village Office on 30 July 2026 and involved 42 participants, comprising 17 university students, 3 hamlet heads, 7 RW leaders, 5 Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) members, and 10 village officials. The program consisted of a pretest, an interactive session on citizens' rights and obligations, case-based discussion, question-and-answer activities, and a posttest. Participants' understanding was assessed using a 15-item instrument covering rights, obligations, participation channels, and the application of civic concepts to everyday village situations. Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, the scores were analyzed descriptively. The mean score increased from 68.5 to 82.3, representing a gain of 13.8 points or 20.1%. The discussion topics showed that participants related civic concepts to village deliberations, public services, mutual cooperation, and the responsible expression of aspirations. The observed score difference reflects an immediate increase in civic understanding after the activity; it does not demonstrate sustained change in participatory behavior, which requires longer-term follow-up.
Ella Dewi LatifahRevita YanuarsariYana Mulyana
