Facing the 4.0 industry challenge, university students are required to master various skills, one of which is: analytical and scientific thinking skills, and their implementation in writing and organizing scientific paper. Biochemistry laboratory is one of the compulsory courses in the curriculum, encompassing practical skills and the ability to write scientific paper such as laboratory reports. This research was conducted to analyze students' skills in writing laboratory reports using the Create A Research Space (CARS) model and the Analytical Thinking and Science Process Skill (ATSPS) model. This qualitative study sampled 73 students from the 2023/2024 academic year biochemistry laboratory course. The results of the data analysis indicated that the average score for students' skills in writing and organizing report is 76,61, with three indicators achieving a very good score and the remaining four indicators achieving good. The average score for students' skills in composing the results and discussion of the laboratory report is 79,79, with four indicators achieving a very good score and the remaining four indicators achieving good. It can be concluded from this analysis that the skills of biology education students of UIN SGD in writing biochemistry laboratory reports are classified as good.
